Exactly, the transparency of prices was actually THE argument in favor of Ikea for me. Unfortunately, I can no longer see the selected front and would have liked more individual support. Therefore, I might still go to the kitchen studio...

The new earthworks contractor, of course, has not sent an offer. Not until last week and not until today either. But at least he called back and we were able to briefly discuss what is to be done. The offer is supposed to come tomorrow. I am very curious.

Get yourself a second one. Our first one was so high that we would have had to refinance before construction started. And the positions that were now missing or added would have been missing.

We have the offer now. Previously, we had two offers from other earthworks contractors. However, one did not want to do the drainage or backfilling, and the other was no longer reachable. Both were between 23,000 and 25,000 for earthworks for the house and garage, including driveway and disposal.
The current one wants 29,500 for earthworks for the house, garage, driveway, and 2 parking spaces, terrain modulation, creating and compacting two terraces, strip foundation for the garage, and complete trenches and connections to the sewer.
350 cubic meters are to be disposed of and 100 cubic meters backfilled behind the house. It is presumably sandy soil.

We are positively surprised.

If, with a lot of bad luck, solid rock is found, it will just be more expensive. But that's what the buffer is for.

This is how the bathroom will be now. To the left of the washbasin there is space for a tall cabinet and on the right there will be a rod for towels. We are still not sure how to best partition the shower. It will be tiled flush with the floor with a channel drain. We are considering installing a folding shower door that can be folded away to the right and left. What do you think?

Do you have a company where you go for sample selection? Or are you putting everything together yourselves somewhere?
