That will still prove itself [emoji85][emoji23].
Our shell builder is now confirmed and, for warranty reasons (earth-contact exterior wall, backfilling, etc.), prefers to carry out the earthworks himself. That’s what we wanted from the beginning. It was always said that we absolutely have to find an earthworker ourselves, which we have finally managed to do. And regarding coordination on the construction site, the site manager now also strongly recommends working with the shell builder.
I have been completely transparent with our really very nice earthworker we found ourselves. He is a) currently not very well health-wise and b) he clearly advises us to go with the shell builder as the earthworker. I find that very kind and generous, after all he is missing out on a comprehensive job. We highly appreciate that he gave us this feedback directly (in writing) and would definitely compensate him for preparing the offer in this case.
But now we will first wait for the shell builder’s offer and take it from there. We’re already a bit under pressure because the shell builder is basically resisting a bit if he doesn’t do the earthworks and backfilling... Let’s see how things develop.
