It is regulated like this here (B-W, district RV) as well, regardless of whether it is a dead end or not. A distance of 5 meters in front of the garage is required. Garages that had an electric door were approved afterwards so that the driveway would go faster. Although it doesn't really help, the drivers still stand halfway on the street or the sidewalk (the garages are often cluttered and not drivable). Since I no longer have to push a stroller around, I don't care either, but it does seem sensible to me for most residential areas.
