But you must not compare a and b. So you pay 50€ for electricity. Do you really believe that just by moving within Stuttgart you will suddenly pay more if neither user behavior nor devices or similar change?

Yes, but as I said, you don’t suddenly need more water or electricity or similar. Depending on the allocation key in the multi-family house, it can of course change. But not drastically and also in both directions.

You see ;) Of course, financing is not a slam dunk. But also not outright harakiri.

But above all, the object is already purchased. Therefore, the question of feasibility is more important than the question of whether it was the best decision and what one would advise other people in comparison.

The current apartment is also 40 or 50 sqm smaller (if I remember correctly), so the additional costs will probably increase a bit. Also, things like insurance etc. are not included in the calculation.

In other threads, the 110 rule is mentioned to give people an idea of what they can afford. In my thread, it was said that financing up to €550k is easily possible, but if it goes towards €600k or even €650k, it would become more difficult, and we had only slightly lower net income back then. For me, this financing belongs to one of the riskier financings posted in the forum recently, especially if a second child comes and the wife falls back into parental allowance.

I see it that way now too, regardless of whether the house is a good investment. I have terrible stomach aches and am afraid I will soon have to live like a donkey and go to bed every day with stomach pain. I talked to my wife and took many tips here to heart. Some users said I always talk about ME, MY financing, MY loan. You are absolutely right. I have reflected on myself and also talked with my wife. She had a similar opinion and said: YOU always wanted a house, I didn’t. You belittled me when I said that an apartment would be enough for me, etc. But she thinks that if it doesn’t fit or is only possible with stomach pain, we should rather step back. Thank you very much for the tips already. They will give me a lot for the further path in life.

Then first clarify whether and how you can get out of this situation again. I already wrote this several posts ago and it was also said by others. In the best case, the seller lets you off the hook because the property will be snatched out of his hands again right away. In the worst case, you have to have the house completed and can only sell it afterwards. Then the whole affair sticks to you for another 1.5 years.
