Hey, I will vote Green too. I'm even a paying member!
But I also don't know what I'm thinking - after all, there are several planets, but only ONE German economy.

Anyway, inflation is currently as strong as it hasn't been in a long time, and interest rates are so low that even private individuals are now confronted with negative interest rates, so I don't quite understand your argument in that respect.

The answer is relatively simple. Central banks may like inflation, but they cannot let it get out of control.

For example, the inflation rate in 1980 was 5.2 percent and the key interest rate was 8.8 percent. Oil prices, gold prices, and real estate prices were curbed by the interest rate, but still increased. However, only until the mid-80s. Then they decreased.

Only with the interest rate cuts in the 90s did they rise again.

Rising inflation, rising consumer prices mean higher interest rates. I expect a key interest rate of around 5 - 6 percent in 5 years.
Who will then still be able to finance real estate at these prices remains to be seen. And in this context, one must of course also think about the further rising ancillary costs.

So if everyone uses their heat pump electrically, the electric car is parked outside, and the number of electric consumers is also increasing, then this will affect the electricity price. Well, I’m curious about that.

Well, I actually don’t care, I have just installed a nice solar system on my roof with a decent power storage. In the kitchen, I have a wood stove that can also be used for cooking. But the Greens would probably like to take that away from me too.

So you shouldn’t just think everything will continue as it has.

I work in vehicle sales, a customer wants a new vehicle. No problem, laptop open, configurator on, and off we go. Radio with Bluetooth and hands-free was requested. I search and search, no radio there! Where is it? It was still included last week.
Call back to the sales center. The radio is currently no longer available due to delivery difficulties. Again. A radio is not available.
And we will experience even more freaks like that.

If the ECB key interest rate rises to 5-6% in 5 years, not only many private individuals but also half of Europe will directly go bankrupt. Recently, the targeted inflation in the € area was changed from <=2 to an average of 2%. This means that there will be years significantly above 2%. This will also reduce the debt in ongoing loans. It is questionable to what extent wages will increase accordingly. My prognosis is a key interest rate of ~3% in 10-15 years.

The classic narrative: The expensive...

...and the Greens who take it away!

Oh dear, the beleaguered auto industry! Well, who could possibly be to blame for the missing radio?

I have a suspicion. ;)
