You don’t even know if the OP is trolling you. After 40 pages, we’re back at the beginning.

Yes, it is very realistic, 175k for the semi-detached house, 25k for the half property, 35k additional building costs with terrace etc. A lot of cash like that, but yes

I would like to give this post much more than just a like. One can only applaud this analysis.

Oh people, please don’t form any judgments about life situations you ultimately don’t know, but only think you understand based on incomplete forum posts. I know what you mean. Classic role distribution, poor woman, etc. If that’s the case, touché. But maybe not. My wife and I have been living in a similar situation for years. But reversed. She brings in the money. I barely contribute half. We have everything only because of her income. Former condo, vacations, now the house… I contribute all I can. But without her, none of this would ever work. Don’t get me wrong, but to me it sounds like you’re just reducing it to classic role distribution. Yet you actually know nothing. Just a few statements in a forum.

If the house is supposedly worth 1 million according to the bank, then the purchase price would more likely be around 1.2 - 1.3 million!? To me that doesn't quite add up or are you buying within the family? No one just gives away 400-500k like that.

Yes, it doesn't add up, but that's what the bank says. I don't understand it myself.
