Even though this development is disadvantageous for my husband and me in terms of the resale value of our house, I am very happy for the young families.
(I still feel a bit upset that no family wanted to buy our house, but "only" an older couple like us, even though we wanted to sell the house to a family at a significantly lower price....)
Thank you. :-) But who can resist the idea that many little "dwarfs" ;-) will run around the big garden in the future ... the idea would have made me happy and I still miss it after a year of selling.If I could, I would give you even more likes for this attitude, which I find very admirable...
Even though I personally probably would have chosen the house, I think it is very, very good that you have made a conscious decision for yourself and your family, that you feel significantly better now and want to look more inward in the future instead of outward. I am sure that this will be very worthwhile for you and that a little distance from the whole topic of building a house will do you and your family very well. You will find your way, and often you only realize in hindsight why one option simply wasn’t meant to be; maybe something completely different is simply waiting for you, and until then I wish you that you first find peace in your apartment now, enjoy the beautiful autumn and the upcoming Christmas season, and then just let it come to you how things will continue regarding your family planning and living situation.
