Where is the humming noise coming from for you?

From the neighbor's ex-girlfriend:

The heat pump???
The underfloor heating???
The ventilation system???
The solar panels???
Or what else could it be???

Maybe not "or", but "and": when a noise source is hard to find, it could well be that it is not one, but an interference of the vibrations from several sources.

Always turn off one device at a time and observe the change. Maybe it is something completely different: An (old) freezer can hum loudly. If everything is off even with the main fuse, then it comes from outside and the neighbors.

And the next company has thrown in the towel :D:D The ceiling installer just stopped in the middle and hasn't come back. Also doesn't answer the phone anymore. He always talked about another big construction site he had to finish beforehand. So far I have paid €2200 including materials. I think in the end I still owe him money for the work done so far. Last Friday someone else came by who started on the same day and will finish the rest for €1700 by the end of the week. Moving in on January 5th will be tight. Remaining budget 23k EUR.

You probably mean 01.05? Until 05.01 (2022) it should be quite easily doable ;) By the way, I think it's great how you handle such situations! Did you already have a plan "B" for all trades? :p Is the top layer on the staircase platform the screed with such an interesting pattern?

It will somehow work out by 1.5 ;-)

I didn't have a Plan B but you just have to see how things progress. Meanwhile, I am pain-free.

Does anyone else have an opinion on my railing? The elements will be filled with glass. Due to the incline, the whole thing looks quite odd with the vertical pipe. However, I haven't found a better solution yet if the handrail is supposed to run parallel to the stairs.

Hm I think a straight handrail basically doesn’t fit a spiral staircase. It really doesn’t look very good in the picture.
