Where is the difference between 2 and 4 cm insulation. Calculated on paper, not measurable in euros or simply not opening the window for one day.

It is not about heating or production costs but about the difference between mold and no mold.

And exactly there, the 2 cm don't matter at all.

Do you know that? That's exactly what it was about, that it is not roughly estimable. But as it was nicely stated further above: Each to their own.

Mold occurs when heating and ventilation are done incorrectly. Some corners are more critical than others. On construction sites, a centimeter is not a measurement. I don't even want to know in which areas some people here have botched work. So I wouldn't worry about that either.

Just because people like to do shoddy work sometimes, it doesn't mean you have to forgo a proper calculation. But those who like to build like 50 years ago, of course, don't need that.
