Which staircase did you take?

We have a half-turned concrete staircase with a granite covering (Juparana Colombo). The railing is still under discussion.

We have a half-turned bolt staircase with dark stained beech steps/handrail and stainless steel rods. Walnut was unfortunately too expensive.

Half-turned, open wooden staircase: spruce stringer, beech steps, spruce handrail, steel rods.

Unfortunately, walnut was too expensive.

How much more would walnut have cost?

Stairs are such a beautiful topic. I would have loved to have an open straight staircase or a landing staircase. But the whole house is planned around the staircase, especially with only 7.30 m total width.

So it became a double-wound reinforced concrete staircase. For the covering, we are using granite nero assoluto, which will then be flamed, brushed, and impregnated. Joints as a contrast in white / mircocorn. The railing is not yet firmly defined, but we have fallen in love with this "broken glass" look. There will also be seven downward-shining LED stair spots from the ground floor to the upper floor.

Despite many compromises with the staircase, we hope for an eye-catcher.
