That's exactly how it is

And with a properly designed underfloor heating/WH at 28.5 °C flow temperature with an annual performance factor of 4.5, there's even 30% funding including the controlled residential ventilation which is regulated with Homematic, as BAFA requires.
Including permanently low energy costs.

Price advantage for material from the internet compared to installation company is 50%, and then the latter add a bunch of unnecessary stuff.

I don't dare to make an estimate there.
My plan is to plan everything as far as possible in CAD beforehand to minimize the actual effort on site and thereby stretch the time investment. 1 hour in the evening doesn't hurt.

Please continue reporting. Experience in the field of EL to this extent is rare. Also write down the hours you need. I believe many are not clear about what it means to pull a few cables there, to plaster there, and to paint there.

No, but maybe you'll write something down and report here.

I find the project exciting. With EL you can save a lot. Nevertheless, I would first raise a finger at every new forum member who pops up here if they calculate a lot of EL in the planning. Most of those who appear here are dreamers when it comes to EL, if you ask me. Because the trained heating installer rarely shows up here. Also, in my opinion, the time factor is completely underestimated. On the one hand, the total number of hours that add up, but also when you have to put them in. Because if you simply can't chase/slash grooves right now because business is stressful, or you have to take care of the fallen grandma, or whatever... then the other trades can't continue, etc.

That's why it would also be helpful to read how many hours go "on top." Planning that away with annual vacation is not enough.

I see it the same way. I think every construction site has someone who thinks that little EL will happen on its own.
One of our neighbors had a falling out with his architect and has been fiddling with the house alone for a year now.
As far as I know, he has been implementing the rough installations for ventilation, water, and electricity for 12 months. Feeling like five days a week after work, complete Saturdays and Sundays, as well as vacation on the construction site (constantly alone, occasionally with his father).

In his place, I would have lost interest in the house a long time ago, and if he continues to be that absent, the wife will run away too. Which is not unlikely. The perceptions of wife and husband are quite different. He thinks, I’m dedicating myself for wife & child, and she feels neglected.

I am of course trying to keep up with the reporting

On Thursday morning I am allowed to pick up the building permit because it has probably been lost in the mail.
Then the structural engineer can finally sign the construction start notification.
Tomorrow the power is supposed to be switched on.
