Yes, exactly. It was just a joke anyway.

„leicht versetzt“ is also very flattering.

But I would make a sketch of how it should look. You have to/should extend the insulation over the stones – even if not, then the insulation is flush with the gravel/paving? Do you want to fill in the stones? The top of the BP level should always be above ground level. You can still solve it with a base covered and plastered with a cover flashing – everything else will inevitably lead to construction damage.

How thick is the gravel or stone layer under the base slab? You can partially see soil shining through, giving the impression there is no layer of gravel under the base slab. Was soil excavated for the clean layer? Thanks! Regards

Hi,

could you explain that again for a layperson? What is wrong with the base?

Thx

Wrong is perhaps a bit harshly expressed - it is better to let the stones protrude over the base slab in order to insulate it flush with the wall. If you now stick it on the outside, the terrain must then be 10...20 cm above the top edge of the base slab (raw floor) in order to still be able to cover the insulation. "Due to rain" I would always set the base slab slightly above the terrain.

I think in #2 it is clear that unfortunately there is more than enough gravel under the foundation slab. I will create a thermal bridge simulation because I am skeptical whether it actually brings any benefit.
