More precisely, the hose of the heating filling line came off and the shut-off valve was not completely closed. The water meter shows 38 cbm. Although I don’t know how much the masons and plasterers have used.

At least I was lucky in misfortune. If the concrete mixer with 8 cbm of screed had been standing at the door as planned, it would have been even more expensive.

I recognize a certain irony in the fact that it happened in the trade that I actually once learned. It was stupidity. There is no sugarcoating that.

Tomorrow the drying company will come, charging 1100 euros plus electricity costs for the drying.

Oh sh***, I'm sorry. Very annoying, but at these temperatures maybe not unusual.

Today the drying company is coming and setting up the equipment. The insurance covers the costs of about 1500€. The positive side is that I get free building drying because of this :) Even more irony: During my apprenticeship, we had a journeyman who was always obsessed with the filling valves of the heating. Slightly compulsive, he always checked both shut-off valves three times to make sure they were really closed. That was already a running gag on every construction site... hey Martin, have you checked the filling valves today?.. We all always had a great laugh about it. I guess that’s what you call karma :p

We have been waiting for the development of a new residential area in our town for two years. The current house should then be sold. Today I learned that the construction area was sold to a regional general contractor. That was like a punch in the stomach. Of course, I can never build as cheaply with the contractor as before. It's actually an outrage. :-(

You are already building. Or is that the house for the enemy

The current one is the mandatory part and the third should then be the optional part, so to speak. The current situation is just suboptimal. We have always wanted to live in a new development area.
