Strategy for selling a house - what is the best way to proceed?

Sometimes people are advised not to sell the property..

We had a conversation today with the Interhyp advisor and she asked why we wouldn't keep the property..

Under what circumstances does it make sense to keep the house?

We have already paid down quite a bit and the remaining debt is less than 1/3 of the estimated value.
