Sometimes I feel like we are writing in Japanese here, because it still doesn't seem to have reached everyone that there are still cities in this country where a property doesn't have to scrape the Mille and still hasn't been sold cheaply.

That the banks can also throw a wrench in the works for one or the other is probably conveniently ignored as well..

We have heard the same from some interested parties as well. People who do not have well over six-figure equity were simply told "no." For me, that was also an indication that we are in a price range that can no longer be described as "too cheap."

Kati, there is still something between "lying, unethical, etc." and "achieving market price." I find your formulation a bit cheeky, you imply that those who have nothing to give away are lying and unethical. Or are you coming with a comparison to fraud?

If you are bragging here with your "return," that is almost as shabby as...

Unethical is everything above your purchase price, after all, the buyer couple is now paying for your new hut with it...

Immoral, unethical, lying by your definition is the same with €50,000 profit as with €100,000 profit. Ethical would be to set the selling price at production costs minus depreciation; after all, you’re not a construction company aiming to make a profit...

Hopefully you didn’t lie regarding the noisy neighbors... :p

I actually didn't. I told them everything exactly as it is here, and they're happy that it's lively here, I quote "yes, I also want to hear a bit"! Unethical people always have a hard time imagining that there are others who are truly honest, right?

We have a plot of land in our hometown that we will buy and build on again. We are now looking for construction companies, our 3 favorites currently are DHI, Laux, and another very local one without a website, whose name I don't have on hand right now. In the meantime, we are moving into a very old (ugly o_O) house where my demented uncle lived until recently. Unfortunately, he can no longer live alone, which is why the house is currently vacant. This is ideal for us, of course, as it is family-owned and suitable for a temporary residence.
