Sorry for bringing up the thread again, but I have to defend Kati and her husband here. I know the area very well and find the sale price quite reasonable and fair for both sides.
A few weeks ago, someone sent me a link to a house in the area: built in 2018, just under 250 sqm living space, 2,333 sqm plot, high-quality fittings, and additionally a huge storage hall - price: 760,000 euros. Of course, that's a completely different price category, but in my opinion, it shows quite well that different standards simply apply there. And the house doesn’t seem to be selling because it was already on the market a few weeks ago.
There simply aren’t many buyers in the area willing to pay > 550,000 euros. The few houses that do sell for > 550,000 euros are usually half-palaces and are often bought by people from NRW or other parts of Germany who have sold their houses for significantly more money and therefore have the cash to spend.
