That today’s youth are no longer ’68ers’ has certainly arrived with us oldies ;-) That’s a good idea, I know it no other way, and that way you remain reachable for an emergency rescue that hopefully occurs rarely. An emergency medical intervention is not a regular case – most bathroom uses proceed without concern – but is also no ’privilege’ of the ’older.’

What a refreshing bathroom and teenager discussion here :D Interesting insights into your bathroom routines! In our case, no one is ever in the bathroom at the same time, unless the child is being bathed. And if there should be a backup later, we have an alternative option on the ground floor. But the thought of having to walk over a wet surface after showering drives us crazy, so the shower is planned as it is and the splash area is at most a "traffic area" on the way to the window. Thanks for your input! We don't like having the toilet and sink next to each other (I would like to link a disgusting article where researchers made visible the germ cloud that is stirred up during flushing, so there should be some distance to our toothbrushes :D

Otherwise, dear people: the floor plan is set! We have already tried our furniture there in 3D and everything fits. We are very satisfied. Oh, and the bed in the bedroom is on the wrong side, it will go under the slant. If anyone still finds mistakes, they can keep them :D No, feel free to give criticism, but we are very happy now and probably won't change much anymore. After the vacation, hopefully a decisive signature and, of course, the drawing of the furniture will follow. But we wanted to let you participate already :)

Great, if you are finally satisfied with the planning.

Show us part of your intended furnishing to share in your happiness. (This is really meant like that, it sounds strange)

Researchers or students for a study during the Corona pandemic? ;) ;)
Toilet lids make people even happier :D

The stairs will not be able to be built over that much. 5 steps are almost one meter. If the planner promises well here, improvisation will have to take place at the latest during execution. They will probably remove the prominent toilet spot in the middle of the bathroom for you… be careful or better: ask explicitly!
knows better about this.

Oops, is completely right. The staircase is more than critical. The planner should realistically show it with a section, etc. That won't work as it is. Has any planner ever done this before, or is this still a self-made creation?

and thank you very much, this is exactly the kind of tips we need! The ones that are about feasibility and not so much about personal taste issues. Attached is how it is intended in the professional drawing.

The pictures in #284, copied from the draftsman’s drawing to try out the 3D furnishing. That will follow later :)

What is the door in the staircase for? You will have to access your small storage room differently.

I also see the passage height as very critical. What is your floor height?

For the guest toilet, this would be a bit too many windows for me. What kind of privacy screen do you have planned there?
