I would swap the WC and shower, then place the washbasin and WC simply against the wall. That feels less oppressive.

It's a matter of personal taste whether one prefers to shower or fart in peace.
The shower shown does not need a door.

I'd leave it as it is.

I would plan it more like this. It is significantly brighter in the shower.

Yes. But in the version with the shower upstairs, someone can also shower who does not want to be seen on their butt. Neither by someone who briefly needs to use the bathroom to wash their hands, nor by the neighbor through the window.

For brightness, there is lighting.

I find the planning very successful. There are solutions for showering without observers. For example, locking the door and using pleated blinds. So far, I like it best.

I'll remind you in 6 or 7 years, when the kids are older and that one bathroom is constantly the bottleneck because the older one showers for 25 minutes every day and locks the door.

You worry about so much stuff... but not about the everyday things...

PS: I would have liked to have a shower niche afterwards... instead of a frosted glass door.
