You don't need everything either. We have the wheels and gardening stuff in the garage. The trailer and trash bins are under the carport. I use the table under the pavilion for sowing/planting. The shed is used as storage space for more gardening stuff or building materials. We wouldn't have built any of that if it hadn't been there anyway. It's useful storage space, but not essential for survival. If you have a car, you have to be able to park it somewhere without it sinking in, and I think you should be able to walk the most important paths without getting your feet wet.

And you just buy plants as money is available. A larger fruit tree quickly costs over 200 EUR at the nursery. But you don’t HAVE to buy it. However, we now grow a lot of fruit and vegetables, and I have considered the purchases for crop plants, beds, and seeds as an investment.

I am really annoyed by the posts that repeatedly talk about optional outdoor facilities. They are, in my opinion, not included anyway. The OP needs a road built in a simple way, where water, sewage, electricity, and all that stuff are laid. There's no such thing as "I'll do it later sometime."

Sorry :) I’m probably one of the annoying posts. But basically I agree, there are things that should be planned right from the start in this case, and development and the road surely belong to that, and that already costs a lot of money here. I’m just a bit puzzled the other way round when it goes from “you need a road” directly to “and a paved parking space, a terrace, and well, the garden I’d plan right away too, you know how expensive plants are!” That’s for me the area that, of course it would be better to plan it and have the money for it, but it’s anything but a necessity.

But precisely because it involves a lot of money, one should also calculate honestly. A build almost always ends up costing more than planned, and if I am already calculating hard at the limit and want to save for the outdoor facilities 5 years after moving in, I have no reserves. And the lower repayment does not stand in any relation to the 500€ or more that one has to set aside per month for it to work out. Always keep in mind that not everything in life goes optimally. Those who always plan at the limit are very vulnerable to shocks, whether it is an involuntary job change with less salary, inflation shocks, separation, or if the planned second child turns out to be twins

Before I don't build at all, I'll just leave out the terrace for now - of course. However, the installments won't suddenly be less after 3 years and the terrace probably won't get cheaper. So where is the money supposed to come from? Ergo, it's better to plan smaller right away but with the must-haves.
