However, that raises the question of why the Zoe is still there. There must be a reason for that... it can hardly be about the money. Before the Zoe has recouped its purchase price compared to the V70 through fuel savings. By then, I’ll be long under the ground... and I (39) plan to live to 80.

Well, the Volvo is already impractical in the city. And the consumption also rises to 14-16l with purely city traffic. But yes, I haven't calculated it exactly. Maintenance costs are significantly higher than the purchase price and also higher than the leasing rate of the Zoe.

It is a large amount for many.
That is why we also advise leaving out the additional gables. Whoever wants to save costs does not add complicated roof structures or any bay windows.

Then let's do a reset and read our warnings regarding the costs. Additional construction costs are completely missing. For 400,000€ just for the house, you get about 135 sqm, simple construction. If you deduct 30,000 construction side costs from the possible capital, only 370,000€ remain for the house, so 125 sqm. :(

How exactly are the development costs distributed? There's supposed to be a 2nd house there, right? I assume the 40K development costs are already proportionally calculated for both houses? Who is actually the builder No. 2 and when does he want to build? Sorry if that is already stated somewhere.

You are placing a lot of hope in a person you haven’t talked to yet. Even if the draftswoman is not only competent in drawing but also in designing (put a question mark behind that), the result will mainly depend on your input. Therefore, make a priority list. Room program, special requests, finances. Don’t trust any cost estimate for which the estimator doesn’t have to ultimately stand. Also don’t forget all the small stuff in the costs. Here a few lamps, there a new cabinet, plants for the garden... and suddenly a few thousand euros are ticking by again. 40k for ancillary building costs, carport, and outdoor facilities is too little. And don’t forget the reserves. Almost every house construction ends up costing more than calculated.
