Realistic cost estimate: Single-family house with unfavorable development location

Hello, we have built a city villa with an attached smaller bungalow. The technical room is in the basement and accessible from both. Each also has the garden in a different direction. That was important to me because of possible later rental. We also considered the classic two-family house, but it was quickly out for us. Who is upstairs, who is downstairs, soundproofing, etc. Best regards

Several reasons: you can share the connection costs, the garden will be shared anyway because of the existing house in the front row (with the same people). You have less lawn to mow and garden to maintain if you build more :D now you just have to place the two houses sensibly on the farmstead or one with an appropriate floor plan. The others need 100m² preferably on the ground floor, we about between 140 and 160.

Both, also seeing how not to do it is important. Unfortunately, it's a shame that the thread then went nowhere.
