That's the problem with such comparisons. Which, by the way, don't help anyway, but be that as it may.

One includes the photovoltaic system, the other doesn't. Some include the basement, others not the foundation slab. One has blinds everywhere, the other roller belts, one geothermal probes, the other air-to-air heat pump, one solid wood floorboards, the other laminate and so on and so forth ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So, I have to ask again. We are building an EE-House 40 Plus. We signed the contract with a prefabricated house provider in June to secure the prices. It included two additional sheets with a suspensive and resolutive effect, provided that the KfW rejects the funding. Due to the long duration of the energy efficiency confirmation, we will now only soon submit the financing application to the bank and KfW. We have now been made aware that the KfW website states that a purchase contract may only be concluded AFTER applying to KfW. Will we have problems with this? Or does our suspensive and resolutive additional agreement save us, since our contract only becomes valid if KfW grants the funding? And what is the point of this regulation anyway? I do not apply for a loan before I have decided on the purchase or construction and it is certain?

Hello everyone,

I am new here in the forum. A brief background about me: I have acquired a property and want to renovate the windows and the heating system. Both measures together will exceed the maximum subsidized investment amount of the BEG funding for individual measures of 60,000 euros per calendar year. Therefore, I would like to submit an application for the renovation of the heating system this year and an application for the renovation of the windows next year.

Since it is not certain whether the air heat pump including the surrounding measures can be completely finished and billed this year, I am wondering whether the billing and completion of the measure in 2022 has an impact on the investment budget for 2022, or whether I can apply for measures up to a maximum of 60,000 euros again in 2022.

Unfortunately, I could not find an answer to this on the BAFA pages or online. Do you happen to know how this is regulated?

Best regards

Have you ever checked whether it makes sense to convert the house into an energy-efficient house?

Unfortunately, I cannot answer your question. Please forgive me for a small hint in a different direction. Depending on whether the existing heating system still works at all or not, I would do it the other way around. An air-water heat pump operates very efficiently especially at low supply temperatures and dramatically worse at higher ones. The efficiency curve is not as steep with old heating systems. Poor insulation of the building leads to the fact that you regularly need higher supply temperatures. Ergo, your electricity consumption in the year you heat your poorly insulated (because of old windows) house with the air-water heat pump would be very high! Second reason: At the moment I hear about supply difficulties with heat pumps, less so with windows. It may stabilize within the next year (but doesn’t have to).

According to the energy consultant, that wouldn’t work with the building fabric…
