We want to submit the building notification this year and I am wondering if the Building Energy Act could perhaps be used positively.

Previous plan:
- KFW55
- Air-water heat pump
- Ventilation system with heat recovery
- no photovoltaics/solar

Now photovoltaics are counted towards the primary energy demand. Does that mean that due to photovoltaics one could now more easily achieve, for example, KFW40 and thus higher repayment subsidies? From 55 to 40 that would be 6000€, couldn’t that finance a large part of the photovoltaic system? Or how does the whole thing work?

Is everything already decided?

Referring to what? The plot has already been purchased, construction company selected, floor plan etc. handed over to the internal architect and we will receive the plans next week. Whether it is actually this year or early next year no longer matters for the Building Energy Act changes as of 11/01, or does the question refer to the changes due to the Building Energy Act?

I mean the laws with all the new subsidies.

We will submit the building application around the end of November.

Building:
- Kfw 55
- Ground-source heat pump
- 9.9 kWp photovoltaic system
- possibly controlled residential ventilation

I am curious about what subsidies will be available.

Online I found the following:
1. Primary energy demand -150 kWh per kW installed photovoltaic system
2. Primary energy demand -0.7x final energy demand

Would this bring one somewhat closer to Kfw40, right?
If one was already quite close to KFW40 anyway, then could it possibly be worthwhile because of the repayment grant by increasing the photovoltaic system or other measures?

Then the same funding as before. The KfW will only adjust its programs during 2021. Currently, there is only the choice according to the Energy Saving Ordinance or the Building Energy Act - nothing more.
