Federal funding for efficient buildings (BEG) from Q1 2021

We are currently preparing the building application planning with the architect. We have not yet signed a contract with our general contractor.
We probably want to apply for subsidy option 461, but we have not had an appointment with our financial advisor yet. I am now wondering two things:
1. Should we apply for the subsidy now or first speak with the financial advisor? The KfW loans are supposed to have become significantly more attractive, so we might still finance through KfW? (I need to look into this more closely).
2. From when does it make sense to involve the energy consultant and how do I find a "good" one? I would first approach our general contractor and ask if they can recommend someone.

My bank advisor, through whom I will arrange the financing, told me that all KfW applications will be processed through the bank. I myself don't have to do anything for this. But now I have read several times that I have to submit the applications myself before I conclude the contract.

Thanks! My consultant from the prefabricated house company is still on vacation. I also think that he told me back then that he and the company would take care of almost everything. The information on the KfW website just made me a bit nervous now. It looks more like I still have to do a lot of things myself, without which I would never get the funding...

You definitely need an energy consultant who provides you with the necessary forms. Do you have those from the construction company? If you choose the loan option, then also/or something from the bank.
