Federal funding for efficient buildings (BEG) from Q1 2021

In a current article on the website "Öko-Zentrum NRW" it says about the general conditions of the BEG:

"[...] The loan and grant funding takes place in parallel across all areas. For all funding options, a grant or a loan with a repayment subsidy can be chosen. [...)"

This means, conversely, that when applying after 01.07.2021 under the KfW 40Plus standard including the use of the EE or NH package, one can choose between:

Option a.) promotional loan of 150,000 EUR minus 27.5% or 41,250 EUR repayment subsidy
or Option b.) direct grant in the amount of 41,250 EUR?

As I understand it, the maximum funding for KfW 40+ is 25%. There is no such thing as 40+EE or 40+NH.

Correct me if I am wrong here...

The additional 2.5% are only granted with KfW for EE or NH. You only get the EE, for example, through a photovoltaic system if it provides at least 55% of the energy demand required for the heating and cooling supply of the building and you do not claim the feed-in tariff. If that is actually the case, then it is better to waive the 2.5% and take the feed-in tariff for 20 years, right?

Yes, that is how I interpret it. Hopefully I am wrong. Whether a battery is energetically sensible and even pays off is another question.

In this case, I hope that the regulation will either be changed by someone to be more realistic or that I can secure everything early enough to still be able to build with the old KfW and BAFA. "Förderung" of this kind doesn't make sense.

Hello everyone. I am following the new BEG with great interest. Especially the grant option without a loan would be interesting for us!

However, since we are building with a general contractor and will soon sign the contract so that everything can start, I see a problem with the new project start. The key date changes from "start of construction work" to "contract award" (conclusion of a delivery or service contract). That means anyone who signs a contract with a general contractor before 01.07. cannot use the new BEG.

Are there others who are building with a general contractor, the contract signing is imminent, but you would prefer the new BEG? Does your general contractor offer you the possibility to wait with signing the contract but still do the selection and continue planning so that no time is lost?

I'm interested in that too. We are building with an architect. Do you know what counts as order placement here? Order to the construction company?
