Federal funding for efficient buildings (BEG) from Q1 2021

The following types of heat generation can be used:
a) Use of solar thermal energy
b) Own generation and use of electricity from renewable energies for heat generation, excluding
electric direct heating based on solid-state heat storage
c) Use of geothermal/environmental heat/waste heat from wastewater by means of a heat pump
d) Combustion of solid biomass
e) Combustion of gaseous biomass
f) Connection to district heating, which is generated more than 55% by the types of heat generation according to letters a to e

I consider 40 EE to be the most pointless class ever. Anyone who can afford to build a 40 house and put photovoltaics on the roof also has the money left for the storage and ends up at 40+. Let's calculate with 5kWh storage for 5000-6000€, additional subsidy compared to 40 EE is 3750€, so the storage costs about 2000€. You can't get storage cheaper than that.

For an EE class, no photovoltaic system is needed. A heat pump is sufficient. It also extracts >55% of the heat from the environment.
Only for the 40Plus do you need photovoltaic plus storage.
However, a "40Plus EE" funding is not possible.
Those aiming for a "40 EE" and usually realize this with a heat pump receive 22.5% funding on 150,000 EUR.
Those aiming for "40Plus" usually already planned with a heat pump (since otherwise it becomes difficult with primary energy consumption) and receive 25% funding on 150,000 EUR, but additionally need photovoltaic and storage. The difference of 2.5% on 150,000 EUR is then available for this. That is still 3,750 EUR for photovoltaic and storage. Whether that is worthwhile is something everyone has to decide for themselves......
