Correct and only for people who have not yet signed a purchase/service contract.

Of course, this is nonsense from the KfW. Why would anyone still build 40Plus then? The higher subsidy of 11.5 TEUR is not proportional to the additional costs...

So much for the topic of incentives for climate protection.

Is 40+ really so much better than 55 with photovoltaic for self-sufficiency? In the end, it depends more on how the residents live than on the building envelope. The differences are so small. Anyone who absolutely needs 200sqm and more for a family of four will also need more than a 55 house with 130sqm even with a 40+ house. Not to mention that an apartment in a residential block is quite energy efficient even as an old building due to the many interior walls. It's better not to open the can of climate protection.

Hello, what most people in my opinion are not yet aware of is that a building that is supposed to achieve the EE class will probably no longer be feasible without a controlled ventilation system. In the Bundesanzeiger, under the chapter Technical Minimum Requirements, it says: When implementing efficiency houses, it must always be checked whether measures to prevent condensation and mold growth are necessary. For this purpose, a ventilation concept must be created, specifying the required outdoor air volume flow and the solution for implementation, for example using [DIN 1946-6]. The client is responsible for initiating the implementation of ventilation-related measures.

So one should pay attention to what the KfW expects in order to receive funding. The cited DIN describes, for example, as a minimum moisture protection during temporary absence. During absence, manual ventilation is not possible since no one is there.....

Even better would have to be KFW 40 EE.... best price/performance ratio ;)
