Somehow the wall looks a bit wavy. Is there an internal insulation on it?

We have that too. Move-in January 2021. Storage room under the stairs and utility room. Architect probably normal due to the residual moisture in the new building. Fortunately, I felt the urge yesterday to reorganize the rooms, otherwise we wouldn't have noticed it at all.

But as I said, new building, so probably not.

@Tanari It almost looks like a bit of dust on your side ;)

No, just roughly plastered, poorly wallpapered and cheap paint. You can also see the shadow cast by the shelf that I moved away. It looks better in real life than in the photo in the opening thread.

Last night I removed the baseboard. The mold extends across the entire width including both room corners. The adjacent walls are mold-free, as is the second exterior wall. Unfortunately, I can only upload one photo, the rest are completely blurry.

Only in a few spots was the mold superficially easy to remove. It went through the wallpaper. The floor covering is not affected, and the back of the baseboard is also barely affected. At the bottom of the wallpaper I removed the affected strip and all black parts. Then I sprayed a lot of mold remover. Following the motto "more is better" it now stinks extremely of chlorine. I hope it’s bearable in the room again this evening.

I still have to measure wall moisture and air humidity later and observe them long-term, first the chlorine stuff must dry and evaporate again. The window is open despite damp weather so that the chlorine smell can get out.

Yes, one could really think so. But it was actually mold.

Hydrogen peroxide should (after all) also work against mold. It smells significantly less strong.

I measured the humidity over the last few days. Currently 59% with open windows. With closed windows and door, it rises in the evening to almost 75%. Definitely too much. I will set up a dehumidifier. Unfortunately, due to the storms in recent weeks, everything is still empty in the hardware stores and I have to wait several days until it is delivered.
