Well, the 160 in this style is critical in the sense that you have a lot more space upstairs compared to downstairs. I quickly sketched it out:

Exterior dimensions at 11.35 x 9.7 - the 10 cm less width at Rensch-Haus are probably due to different wall thicknesses and a short staircase - I wouldn’t put much stock in that.

While it already gets relatively tight downstairs, the rooms upstairs are quite spacious. Now, setting aside whether this is the optimal layout. The Rensch-Haus also has a separate study upstairs, which you don’t need. Cutting something off upstairs isn’t possible if you want to keep the cube look that you like.

So, to put it simply, I don’t think the Rensch house fits your wishes.

Hello kaho674,

thank you very much for the feedback. To be honest, I don’t quite understand your sketches.

We are currently totally frustrated.
It seems to me that we have an idea, but it doesn’t fit in many places.

Why do you think that the plot doesn’t fit our wishes?

Well, the plot does fit.

Problem:
The floor plan of Rensch-Haus inevitably has more space upstairs than you want. Even if you shrink it smaller (as in the sketch, for example), it will always remain that way. The reason is the covered terrace.

Not at all! Which idea? Or do you mean the Rensch-Haus?

Yes, but we wanted a (partially) covered terrace anyway, so it doesn’t really contradict itself.

No, in general. I feel like I’m doing something wrong in terms of process. Sometimes it’s the room layout, other times the architecture, then the "cube." I really wonder if we should approach it differently, meaning: Is the sequence not the right one to say a) floor plan, b) architecture => Bauhaus c) cube… I think we really have to rethink this. In the end, we only have the style direction in mind and a rough floor plan; for the rest, we’re still "free"…

I have found that the best results are usually achieved when you first precisely define the requirements (rooms per floor, size, special features). Then arrange these rooms on the plot and finally adjust the exterior appearance. However, it is also possible to do it differently and first say it must be a cube from the outside. But often this quickly results in having rooms you don't need or missing something.
