Would then go straight across the hallway on the upper floor and massively reduce the passage width in the hallway both on the ground floor and on the upper floor (if at all feasible).
Not at all. The chimney is located between the children's rooms on the upper floor... somewhere there
I consider the stove in the hallway to be "out of place".
The chimney... not the stove...
You want to be able to see the thing after all.
Exactly. Do you follow what I wrote or do you think I’m somewhat limited?
The niche doesn’t have a door at all, only the storage room.
Two! doors lead off from the niche!
The niche will probably become very cramped with 4 people, so you’ll then have a problem going to the toilet.
Currently, as mentioned, along the house facade -> As far as I understand, in your proposal the stove would be in the hallway and thus also in the hallway on the upper floor. But I'll take that with me, maybe we can simulate that tomorrow.
I don't consider you limited, I didn't really want to imply that.
The niche has a door and one in the guest bathroom, in this consideration that would actually be two, that's correct.
Yes, the exterior chimney is gladly left out by the presentation designers because it turns the chaos into a catastrophe. Now for the second time, the planner places the thing outside. A bad habit! A chimney should be as central as possible so you don’t have a "spargel" at the roof edge - especially with a hip roof.
I would just leave the thing out. If you are already uncertain now, in 2 years the thing will be completely unnecessary. No one wants to clean it, chop wood, or even buy it. The energy-saving regulation house is too warm to heat any further - the incentive is missing. Save the 5 to 10 grand and rather buy yourself nice cabinets or something like that.
