Phew, I’d guess mid-40s? His boss, whom we actually met, definitely early 50s.. That was another variable change. We met the architect, but it was carried out by his employee (graduate engineer), and there was simply a different basis of communication... (even though the architect said he was always involved in the planning...)

I didn’t dare earlier ops:. No, actually it did take me some time. And before I make such an accusation, it has to have been observable for quite a while.

Here, the floor plans are still "civilized". The building financing topics are a different caliber. Although emotions do come into play as soon as the OP has drawn it themselves or "co-drawn" it. Besides, the OP is still/again responding

Yes, that's correct. But he is in the position of having to justify himself. This course of events, which can be observed here, reminded me of many other threads. But now, enough with the off-topic.

Thank you... I don't feel torn apart by the discussion but I do feel somewhat guilty, although I have already summarized at least three times that it could have gone better... and once again for the colleagues who side with the architect: I was already looking for a possibility of further cooperation, which does not exist, I have accepted that, now I am looking for a way of compensation and will then hopefully close the topic halfway...

I think you should give yourselves and the future architect a bit more time on the next attempt. As some have already pointed out, designing is to be understood as an iterative process that also takes some time. As far as I understand, it happened within 2 weeks for you? Besides, in my opinion, it’s just the way it is with architects that everyone has their own style which is then logically always found in their designs. Therefore, you should only choose an architect if you can identify with the style of their previous references.
