Question: What do you actually think about the ceiling height in the basement? From your point of view, is the 2.23 acceptable?

If I were to go higher, that wouldn’t affect the already fully utilized eaves height since I would then just build the basement deeper, right?

Yes! Leave out the corner of the kitchen and put the door right there instead. The kitchen is often the first point of contact; only after that comes the jacket off.

You can probably do that more cheaply with a glass terrace roof? The advantage is that you can choose whether to have shade or not (if with an awning) and you don’t look against the balcony ceiling from inside.

My childhood room back then also had a balcony, my parents had purchased it as a property. The only thing it was used for was my secret cigarette... I can't estimate the construction costs, but it must have cost a few thousand, right? And what is the child supposed to do on it then? And the other child is disadvantaged and doesn't have a balcony, I find that unfair.
