One might consider adding another window on the right side, but honestly, do you want to spend your life down there? That's nonsense! The partition, as you have planned it, is fine, and yes, using a basement solely as a storage room is legitimate. However, I don't know how it is with the piping and the lifting system from there to here.

I have already written it once. I would swap the laundry room and the bathroom.
