Unfortunately, (apparently) not very many people know that ...

To all those who still do not understand, I recommend the first 3 minutes on YouTube by the renowned career advisor Martin Wehrle. Title: 5 Crazy Things Only Highly Sensitive People Can Do, Martin Wehrle

I just listened to the video. It was quite interesting. I already felt addressed during the part about the music. :)

We have now solved the problem with the boombox neighbor by moving away. And right now, I am really glad about that again.
We had agreed that the country music wouldn't play on Sundays, but apparently, that did nothing: Today it has been playing all day long. When our son wanted to go into the garden this morning, my husband went over and asked him to turn it off, which he did. However, it didn't last long; it has been playing again for hours this afternoon.
I'm not going over there a second time in one day. But it is extremely annoying since it is on the side of the house where both our bathroom and our living room are located. We wanted to read on the sofa earlier – no chance. The bass and the drums from the radio drive me crazy to the point that I had to leave the room. Bathing was also out of the question; upstairs was the same problem. In the office at the PC, it's okay; I don't hear anything there.

Since I still wanted to oil my garden table, I did that now with my husband's Bose Quiet Comfort Wireless headphones. I’d rather hear nothing at all, not even nature sounds, than that terrible radio.

But by now, I can handle it with a smile. Because I know, in 2.5 months, I’ll be out of here. And it does give me a kind of satisfaction that we were able to choose the buyers who already told us at the first viewing that they want to build a large dog kennel there at the border. We already got to meet the small dog. A real cutie, and he barks at every sound.
Karma is a bitch (literally).

There really isn't much help. The late-pubbing gentleman in our village had a visit from 2 gentlemen in uniform last week, and since then it's been quiet. I also wanted to complain and that's when I saw the car. On Saturday he shouted around in the garden, “Gah honne wenn‘s dir net boast.” No idea who he meant.

I'm so sorry you're going through something like this too. :/
As far as I remember, it's also really loud where you are, if I recall correctly? For us, it's more a combination of bad luck, my sensitivity, and the strange effect that the bass seems louder in our living room than outside, which I absolutely can't explain, but that's probably physics.
In the new house, we're trying to avoid this by keeping the house wall further away from the building boundary on both sides.

If you only hear the bass, it helps to tilt the window open a bit. Sometimes the bass sounds louder inside than outside. If it is so loud that you can sing along to the songs, nothing helps. The worst part is that it is not even my direct neighbor. For a long time, the source of the noise could not be determined.
