I didn't even know that the Swabian heaven is located in Brandenburg. Learned something new again.

It's a pity that people don't come to this realization on their own. Listening to music is fine, but constantly bombarding oneself and others with sound strikes me as very questionable. There are said to be people who cannot be alone with themselves and their thoughts (if they have any at all) and therefore constantly "need" noise. It's a pity that mutual consideration nowadays seems to be anything but a given.

That’s a bit one-sided, don’t you think? Acquaintances of ours have a neighbor with a big barking dog. It really makes noise at night and caused them two sleepless nights. Would that be okay then? Dogs can/must be trained, just like children. Everyone has their own preferences and ideas. Mutual consideration is the highest principle, yet one must also grant freedoms to fellow citizens and especially neighbors. If something bothers you, you’re allowed to address it, but without assuming that the other person has to/will change it. That’s their decision. However, peaceful and understandable communication greatly increases your chances of success. And compromises can be a solution for both parties. If, for example, he now has music on in the garden for 10 hours a day, maybe it can be reduced to 2 hours (just an example). Then perhaps everyone can live with the situation. Saying in general: I have a gas lawnmower, 3 kids and 2 dogs and like to have guests on the terrace every day, but my neighbor prefers to listen to music with two people. Me normal, he bad doesn’t work.

But it might be hard to get through the box on the wall of the house and to be heard ;)

Oh yes, also a classic! I remember my first apartment…

What kind of noise are we talking about? 3 hours a day? 1 hour, 10 hours? And you work from home, right?

I personally also find constant music annoying, fortunately the neighbors only do that during parties, which is totally fine. We have a particularly hardworking allotment gardener at some distance who has been practically working nonstop on his shed for about 2 years now. That annoys me too, but there’s nothing you can do about it. What I’m trying to say is... everyone has their own thing that really annoys them.

If the neighbor doesn't see reason and one wants to sell the house, wouldn't it be advisable to work on oneself? Don't get me wrong. For example, other drivers constantly annoy me (who obviously can't drive :-) ), and sometimes I become quite aggressive inside. I try to calm down, talk to myself positively, and also do some ooooohm or deep breathing to regulate myself. I also try to learn calmness in traffic :-) If I manage that, I'm sure you can get your sensitivity to music under control too
