Before Kati has to write novels:
Yoga etc. has already been discussed.
for Kati it is more of a trigger, and that only with music.
But I would also try it, and/or even if it means that you might have to attend sessions somewhere, for example with a psychiatrist or breathing courses or something like that.
But I believe that has already been through that.

In principle, this has already been discussed in two other threads.
Other people's music annoys me too. Even if I actually like this music. When it happens occasionally, I have to and can live with it. Constantly would not be something for me either. However, for me the best option remains to find a compromise together that both can live with. If they are otherwise nice people, they certainly don't want to drive Kati away. That means, a solution can really still be worked on. But then everything must be on the table.

Introduce bullfrogs until the neighbor turns the music down. They are loud (up to 120dB) but not rhythmic...

Of course, this is not meant seriously - in case anyone should think so.

Had to hope your neighbor isn’t French, otherwise the poor frogs are doomed...

Hihi, no, that’s not what I meant, dogs and children can be annoying too, there are also special specimens, but in my parental home I rather experienced that parents and dog owners get annoyed by the barking and yelling themselves after a while and then more likely call out “Quiet, Bello!” or “Guys, slow down again now,” but my roommate could listen to music all day and would probably be able to do that in a garden all Saturday long because she finds it really nice and it makes her happy, but for me and probably also Kati it would be so annoying that we wouldn’t want to go into the garden at all because you simply can’t tune it out. Our future neighbors (three houses) are by the way over 80, mid-60s with a young dog and around 40 with two children. The dog likes to bark but is totally cute, the children are super friendly and well-behaved, but of course also play ball and chase sometimes. You never see or hear the 80-year-olds, none of the neighbors seem to listen to music often, so perfect for us :)

I hope not. Before that, I would see the way to a psychological psychotherapist, provided there is the will to change this reflex. The psychiatrist, on the other hand, prefers to prescribe pills.

PS: I do not mean to imply that should do this. ;)
