I don’t understand the context now.
Is it that you hear the music behind a closed door in the house, or is it more the feeling?

You once wrote something about 45 dB outside.

I also don’t understand the word choice but don’t want to put words in your mouth or sound like I don’t believe you. I would have rather expected the word “annoying.” Instead, anger is already a reaction/feeling that one can actually reverse with exercises.

Now I’m a bit unsure as well. It’s rare that one can block out “background noise.” The brain can do that. Probably also externally controlled noises, but then the intellect comes in, telling you “does this have to be?” “can’t they…?” etc.
I’m just asking: do you mean it that way? It affects everyone who can hear – everyone is affected.

I would be a bit cautious here. Kati has our sympathies as we “know” her here. But we can neither assess the volume nor the neighbor’s temperament. Also, I haven’t read anything about the frequency or duration yet.

...........
I have now found the old thread with the soundproof fence but unfortunately could only read the last two pages.

That was not really defined as that, except in the other thread, that he put the speaker in the middle of the garden. That would basically be similar to ?

You can and are allowed to upload your videos here. It works just like photos :)
We could then get a better impression.

YPG just for your information: I don't have a bass box standing in the garden blasting my music to two towns :D. I have installed a small cute stylish Sonos speaker on the house wall so that you can also play some music on the terrace. I just have the feeling that you have the wrong idea about it in your head.

See my post #90 :)

Inside the house, it’s probably more the bass that penetrates, not the music itself.

That will probably only reflect reality to a very limited extent.

Regarding a possible soundproofing wall, I recently saw an inspiration. These classic concrete angle stones were erected. Then wooden beams were horizontally attached to them. In total, a kind of timber framing was constructed, into which bricks were then built. The whole thing looked aesthetically pleasing, somewhat like how once described wanting to build. It should be feasible from a craftsmanship point of view. Unfortunately, I have no photo.

Well, I wouldn't want to build in an area where the front yard is monitored either :)

Hehe, the comparison refers to the box or device placed or hung outside, not a music device (of any kind) that plays music from inside to outside. I thought all along that it was about the latter. I personally find an outdoor device questionable. Recently our neighbors were cleaning their car and meanwhile playing an audio drama cassette for their child inside the car. Of course loud and with doors open – oh man, that was annoying. The bass went under the skin. But it didn't make me angry. We often hear the admonishing voices of parents inside the house too – that's annoying as well, but we ourselves also make noise. So I don't even hear it when I cook and chop. The chopping itself is more present. And in the evening the TV runs, which swallows any ambient noise.

Nothing beats hours of thread cutter noise. :) I recently saw a new, private soundproof wall on a very busy road, the wall consisted of a grid construction - similar to gabions - but was filled with soil and coconut mats - the whole thing was then planted with ivy and honeysuckle. It looks very nice and should almost completely eliminate sound.
