As a runner who learned 5 years ago, and at a snail's pace, I can say that for every running rhythm there is the right beat, that is, the right music. Then there are no side stitches either. The right music is like finding the right path, reaching the goal (to stay on topic)

Still my favorite for jogging: Breathless, through the night!

I can absolutely confirm that. We have often suspected our immediate neighbors when we heard quite distinct, fairly loud music in the garden – only the direction somehow didn’t fit, it came from the field. In the end, it was music from the volunteer fire brigade, a kilometer (or more?) across the field, despite obstacles. By the way, they do that often. Music can unfortunately carry very far. Sure, it’s not as frequent as the current neighbor. But you can’t completely escape music even in the middle of nowhere. Maybe it will help you to see this ideal world of the lonely farmhouse a bit more realistically. It seems to me that you are projecting a lot of hope into it and that besides this beautiful dream the current situation appears even less attractive.

Noise cancelling headphones or something similar is something I think I would get as well, even if you find a decent solution with the neighbor. Mainly to feel a bit more autonomous again. I mean, even if they are very accommodating, there will probably still be times when they listen to music and the possibility to withdraw from that autonomously sounds at least like a mental relief. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that you find more quiet times like that as well.

Headphones are worth a try, but I wouldn't be too optimistic. NC works particularly well with constant noises like a roaring highway, airplane turbine, etc., not with changing or sudden noises. Bass is also strongly perceived through the body.

Do sound absorbers help for the interior when the source is outside? If yes, which ones and what should be considered? Google shows prices from 50 euros to a few thousand euros. who has installed these here? Do you know that? Because whether to stay or look for something new, a livable situation must be created now.
