Comments on floor plan design welcome

Well, has said several times that in his family the bathroom is simply not locked. They still happily walk through it while someone is using it. I wouldn't do that either, but whatever, that's not a problem for him.

Sure, everyone decides for themselves. For me, it's about the fact that he calls all the different, constructively intended pieces of advice unsuitable and bland, and this very special one clear and working; he also complains about the criticisms or feels treated unfairly. Of course, no one will or may forbid him his apparently existing bathroom rules in the family, but it is obvious that this specific example clearly shows why such passages are vehemently criticized. He called his thread ".....comments welcome" and not "approval requested." Of course, in the end, I don't care how he builds his house, and if he likes it that way, he would be ill-advised to let me or anyone else here talk him into something else.

I’ll try it differently now: what do you think of the floor plan attached, and what suggestions for improvement do you have?

I can only point out again to go to a capable architect with a written room program (no drawing, for God's sake no drawing). Everything else is a waste of time.
If you continue like this, the children will have moved out beforehand – then you have almost 300 sqm for two people.

And many have written this to you here. You don't address it at all.

Very few are really constructive here. Very few. That's a shame.

Do you know what really makes this so difficult? We are discussing plans here that somehow reflect naive, almost childish thoughts. And with you that doesn't come across at all when we explain it. Of course, with different words. You don’t see it yourself either.

And that’s why we advise having a design made by an experienced architect, which you can then build with your company Stommel Haus.

This discussion is for me like having to explain to my 8-year-old niece that the self-made ashtray is not beautiful and good. And she asks why... because you can ash on it. You don’t have to try to straighten the ashtray again...

I am now wondering whether the planner of the previous Stommel Haus house has fallen out of favor because you don’t enter the bedroom through a bathroom as a vestibule (?)

That is exactly what we did. Wrote down all requirements (!) and sent the planner of 3 different house manufacturers. Only Stommel Haus responded with a plan, the other two with the floor plan of one of their model houses, which did not fit at all. The Stommel Haus plan corresponds 80% to what is discussed here (visible at #25 here).

I want to understand why other floor plans you posted here are "better." Is that technically justified? Are there processes that then run better in everyday life (which ones)?

If anyone makes something available for criticism by many people, I can say
- I don’t like it --> that is subjective and not debatable
- it is crap --> then I can justify that, because that is an objective evaluation. Exactly this is missing here (apart from the discussion about access to the bedroom, there must be much more which makes a convoluted floor plan from Rensch-Haus "better").

Since I don't speak or understand such foreign stuff, I just say my opinion.

I rather think that the planner (of course by himself) was proposed for the next innovation award.
