Windows for light, or windows to look outside? Attached are the exterior views West and North, where you can see the 6 windows in the living/dining area. Towards the south, there are 2 more windows in the dining area. Is that too few?

Yes, that would be too little for me. The living space may become bright through the gable windows, but from the sofa you only see a wall except for the loophole. The bedroom is also missing a window for me. Upstairs I also fear dark rooms. The windows will also be darkened by the roof overhang.

In my opinion, the staircase does not fit together with the upper floor or rather the first steps overlap far too much.

Why is the office almost as big as the two children's rooms combined?

Parent bathroom .. 11 sqm for washbasin, WC and shower, but the shower is not even really big. And why is the utility room accessed from there?

The staircase is the planner's idea. He says two steps can be built over. The office is a multifunctional room; it just doesn't exist under that name (office, guest room, and TV fallback room. There is also a storage space here). The kids' rooms are just bedrooms now; the "children" no longer spend time there. We discussed the door between bathroom and utility room for a long time. The downside is the space requirement in the bathroom and utility room. The advantages are that you are no longer forced to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom (in case someone is still sleeping) and the short distance from the bathroom to the washing machine.

Then plan differently ... as the bathroom is currently planned, it could be stylishly accommodated in 6 sqm and does not require 11 sqm for it.

I see it differently, sorry. I want a 1.2x1.2 meter shower. And I don’t want to have to give way when two people are in the bathroom. If you can plan the bathroom even more optimally in the existing space, be my guest.
