I clearly see a case of data protection violation here and don't understand why it is so difficult to delete it. It's enough that the original poster did not want to disclose their place of residence and did not do so voluntarily. My thread "Hausbau aktuell - Trends und Neuheiten auf dem Markt" was deleted without reason. Arbitrary action is one thing, but data protection must be observed in Germany, and that also applies to Swiss people.I don't like your post with the wish to delete it and 's response to it. The moderator can write one sentence why this is not desired.
My thread "Current House Construction - Trends and Innovations on the Market" was deleted without reason.
The data was in the public profile.
Deleting entire threads and then without giving any reasons is certainly the wrong way. I also consider deleting individual posts to be wrong. The solution would have been quite simple: After the original poster expressed their displeasure about the publication and requested deletion, the location could have been overwritten with an X in the disputed post and in the quote clumsily posted by the original poster themselves with the note "Edited by the moderator."
Yes, therefore the fuss is somewhat exaggerated. Nevertheless, it makes a difference whether one has to determine the exact location by indirect means or if it can be found directly by search.
