You are so right. We had planned the (for us) perfect EG, but in the OG it doesn't work out quite as perfectly ... it will probably have to come with compromises.

I unfortunately have to agree with you. The OG is anything but easy. However, I am now giving up on drawing it myself, as my frustration level is currently extremely high.

Sort of, you just have to interpret my hint correctly. That is the wrong conclusion. Yes, the OG is significantly more difficult. But the advice to start with the OG is misunderstood with the "realization" that as an amateur you won't be able to manage it (or only at the cost of despair). This only applies if you keep your EG result. Then you need talent and luck. The correct interpretation of the advice, in the case that you have already planned the EG, begins with "forgetting" the previous EG. Then you plan the OG as if you had never made the common mistake — and, tadaa: now it becomes much easier.

So - attached attempt no. 2:

Development Plan/Restrictions
Size of the plot: 704 sqm (of which 146 sqm green strip on the east side)
Slope: no
Floor area ratio: information not found
Floor space index: 0.3
Building window, building line and boundary: 5m north boundary, rest 3 m
Edge development: "The construction of outbuildings, garages and carports is not permitted within a 3 m wide strip behind the street boundary line of the main access road" – so probably allowed on my plot, since it is at the end of a dead-end street
Number of parking spaces: 2
Number of floors: 1.5
Roof shape: gable roof
Architectural style: modern
Orientation: southeast
Maximum heights/limits: ridge height 8m, exception for symmetrical gable roofs with over 40 degrees pitch 9 m
further specifications

Requirements of the builders
Style, roof shape, building type: modern, gable roof, 35 degrees, knee wall 1.50 m
Basement, floors: no, 1.5
Number of persons, age: 4, 26, 23, 1, 1
Space requirements on ground floor, upper floor: 5 rooms,
Office: family use or home office?: home office
Overnight guests per year: 0
Open or closed architecture: open
Conservative or modern construction: modern
Open kitchen, kitchen island: open kitchen with kitchen island
Number of dining seats: 6
Fireplace: no
Music/stereo wall: TV wall
Balcony, roof terrace: no
Garage, carport: double carport planned
Utility garden, greenhouse: no
Further wishes/special features/daily routine, gladly also reasons why this or that should or should not be:
We absolutely want a children’s bathroom and a parents’ bathroom. Parents’ bedroom as small as possible, but generously sized dressing room instead.
2 large children’s rooms
Small study room is sufficient.
Open living/dining area

House design
Who created the design: Do-it-Yourself
- Planner from a construction company
- Architect
- Do-it-Yourself
What do you particularly like? Why? All rooms can be accommodated, nice view into the garden from kitchen island, sofa and dining area
What do you not like? Why? Bathrooms and utility room on the west side because of the connections
Price estimate according to architect/planner:
Personal price limit for the house, including equipment:
Preferred heating technology: geothermal heat pump

If you have to do without, which details/extensions
- can you do without: in an emergency the parents’ bathroom. But actually not really..., with a good reason the kitchen island. However, it should serve as a workstation with a view of the living area to supervise the children.
- cannot do without: open dining area, no staircase directly at the door, dressing room

Why is the design as it is now? e.g.
Standard design from the planner?
Which wishes were implemented by the architect?
A mix of many examples from various magazines...
Originally there was an example from a catalog. This was adapted until we were satisfied.

What makes it particularly good or bad in your eyes?
The small bathrooms are not optimal, but do not bother us much. We would like to receive the western sun more in the house

What is the most important/basic question about the floor plan summarized in 130 characters?
Does the plan work like this?

I don't quite understand the scale - is there even one?
Is it intentional that there is no door to the master bedroom except through the dressing room?
In general, I find the upstairs hallway too spacious.

So what is the priority now, a straight staircase or the children's bathroom?
Have you looked at the floor plan of Gussek Haus?

1:25 One box is 25 cm The access to the bedroom through the dressing room is intentional. We rejected a straight staircase because it never fit. I chose a landing staircase for the floor plan. If I make the hallway narrower, I have no access to the second children's room. Unfortunately. Yes, but that also didn't fit unfortunately.
