Thanks for the recent posts.
I have drawn our furniture to scale, everything fits well, also taking plaster and baseboards into account.
Only the dressing room and wardrobe wouldn’t work like this, as already mentioned.
To make the dressing room and bathroom bigger, one could take 1 sqm from each children's room (move walls), but then the doors would shift, and you wouldn’t be able to get into Child2’s room anymore. Or am I seeing that wrong?
And whether the room next to the kitchen is called pantry or storage room, I think it doesn’t matter.
Regarding ventilation. Thanks for the hints, we will reconsider the whole thing.
Regarding the site plan. Unfortunately, access CANNOT be from the northeast (development plan). Only from the north or south.
Regarding the architect..... We want a plain, ordinary 08/15 house, no slope, no bay windows, etc. That’s why I think an architect from the general contractor should be able to manage such a floor plan
And yet you complain here. Your general contractor apparently can’t manage a normal 08/15 house... or maybe because of your plot it’s not really 08/15?
I have no problem if someone builds with a general contractor. But there are better and worse ones in terms of design. Many points have already been mentioned here why the design is not good. This includes not only the floor plan alone but also the positioning of the house and the garage on the property. (Off-topic: do you actually have to shovel snow on all sides?
A bedroom of preferably 10 sqm? I don’t know which model home parks you’ve been to, but I could just as well sleep in a matchbox there.
In my opinion, a disproportionate layout for actually generous 160 sqm.
But regardless, I am of the opinion that your criticism of the existing design will not be eliminated if you are not willing to make more significant changes... and it seems to me that you are not willing to do that and rather just smile it away or something like that.
