And what has happened so far? We are flooding you with ideas and these are being changed by Dad. We don't get to see these changes. I would say: every design from us, Kerstin, Katja and me, is already fully planned. Usually, a change is not possible without producing a new design.

Isn't that the point?

No, nothing is divided there, and nothing long and narrow. I have integrated the "gable triangle" into the drawing.

In my proposal, on the left side under the shed roof there is only an attic, and on the right side under the shed roof only the open underside of the roof of the rooms on the ground floor.

Then unfortunately I don't know what you mean by a load-bearing wall. For me, that is a wall from the floor to the ceiling. I believe this proposal has been rejected – they want to convert the upper floor after all.

See drawing in post #154: the one with the course between utility room-hall-storage-bedroom on one side and child-child-cooking-living on the other. I would extend that all the way up to under the ridge purlin.

He lives 200km away. But I can call him and he can tell me what he would change. Or he might print it out, take a photo, and send it to me. There are already a few possibilities. I had thought maybe you had it as an ACAD version.

I think we’ll stick with a hip roof with a 35° pitch. As I said, we can also make the house 16.5m long (if necessary even 17m) and 12m wide. Maybe that helps?

Yes, you flood me with ideas and I am very grateful for that. Thank you very much!

So far, my dad hasn’t changed anything on the floorplans at all. He has only told me his opinion about the floorplans. This is the first time he asked about it.

I see that the designs from you three are very well planned.

I believe this is a design we can live well with.

The only disadvantages I see at the moment are:
- Kitchen on the left instead of on the right
- Hallway has too little light through the narrow door (maybe something can be done here with a glass door)
- The space for the stairs shouldn’t be so tight (as I said, we can also go to 16.5 x 12m)
- Living room could use a few more square meters (but we can live quite well with it!)
- Second storage room is basically unnecessary, since we have enough storage space under the roof.

Advantages:
- All rooms with water pipes are on the left
- Private rooms on the right and without adjoining rooms that can cause noise. We ignore the bedroom being next to the living room since my wife and I usually go to bed at the same time.
- Short traffic routes
- And much more.

This one is good, too.

Disadvantages:
- Utility room between bedroom and children's room. What do you think about putting the washing machine and dryer in the storage room in this case? That should ease the whole thing, however, then you have the "noise" in the living room area.
- Bathroom at the bedroom
- Hallway has hardly any space for a wardrobe (only under the stairs)
- Hallway has too little light through the narrow door (maybe something can be done here with a glass door)
- Relatively small living room but we can live with it

Advantages:
- Dining, kitchen on the right, near the terrace
- L-shaped living, dining and kitchen is preferred to the one above
- And much more.
