No – only 3m distance must be maintained. I find it quite funny how persistently the wrong property geometry is insisted upon here. IMHO, it does make a difference for the orientation on the property whether the street and building boundary is a straight line or an arc.

That was within a few hours:

...including pictures of a "beautiful gable roof".

So please forgive me that:

I still don’t quite believe that since the quoted was even just a small part of several roof "jumps" in this thread

The BU assured me that the boundary points are correct, unfortunately he is currently unable to provide me with drawings featuring an arc. Instead of making fun here, why don’t you explain why you would position the house differently because of the arc?

I think Matthew03 is not entirely wrong when he says that I need a break. You have all provided many good ideas and floor plans. Hats off for the effort! I have printed everything out and will go through it again with my wife. Since I am being accused of being resistant to advice and not making clear statements, I want to give you the chance to say what I need to formulate more clearly and explicitly.

I’ll start...
-Roof and attic

Can you send me a floor plan of the last house with more meter and square meter details? Many thanks!

He is not making fun, but merely notes his amusement. And he would not place the house differently, but from a more precisely depicted course of the curve could simply better recognize that possibly a different position would be better (or an apparently fitting one only seemingly fits). Even a 24-gon is still not a circle; it can very well be that a "straight" point seemingly more fitting is nevertheless "in the penalty area" by the decimeter range. Clear statements as well – but as a seesaw of yeses and nos – can confuse. I allowed myself the comparison with StanSch’s post because there was also a back and forth about fixed points there, which were alternately considered sacred and at other times allowed to be resolved quite differently (and back).

I see the "arch question" of the building boundary uncritically. Whether the entire building body shifts slightly up or down is not decisive for a first idea.

Sure, a few measurements (it sometimes shows 4 decimal places - please ignore).

You have to calculate the m² yourself - my program can't do it or calculates it incorrectly. Exterior walls are generally planned with 40cm, interior walls with 20cm. I’m leaving out the upper floor, as talking about measurements without knowing the slopes really doesn’t make sense. You have a design with about a 31° gable roof anyway. The staircase has no landing (90 wide, half-turned) - but there should be enough space even for 1m width.

I somehow find the design much better, you have a "public" and a "private" area and the way to the kitchen is nicely short (shopping)
