So I took the trouble to shift the walls a bit in our floor plan to create your office and enlarge the storage room a little.
I furnished the rooms as we currently have them, so you get an idea of the space available.
As you can see, my son’s room (5 years old) is quite crowded. But that’s because of his Lego and Playmobil collection, which needs to find space somewhere. I don’t know if the play tables will stay much longer, since the time when he plays standing is slowly coming to an end. Then he will also have significantly more space in the middle again.
My daughter’s room (1 year old) is still used as a guest room and my husband’s children from his first marriage sleep there when they visit.
Later on, a larger wardrobe will go in there, the baby crib will eventually move out along with the changing table, and then we’ll have plenty of space to fill the walls with storage options. In other words, the rooms are big enough. You just have to get a bit creative with the shelves.
The bedroom is tight. You can effectively only put the bed against one wall or where the large wardrobe is and then without bedside tables. But there is plenty of space for that too! You’re only sleeping there. But it can’t get any smaller either.
The only downside: the kitchen is a bit tight, but maybe some extra space can be squeezed out by moving the window.
