I also like the living spaces (dining / living) best like this.
Moving the washing machine is an option. I would rather buy very quiet appliances. I did the same with my refrigerator.
In the bathroom by the bedroom, I have already moved the loudest pipes (toilet, shower) to the other wall. I would probably also make the wall to the bedroom a bit thicker. The question is how the bathroom usage is distributed with children. Presumably, you are the last ones in the bathroom?
The hallway is too narrow – the house needs more length here (which will soon become absurd).
Light is not a problem – you can place a glass element next to the door. This can definitely be before the stair entrance. The door itself with a large glass section.
Remove the wall between the living room and dining area. Big enough?
But maybe start over again. I still have an idea...
Our refrigerator is 5 months old because we just moved and sold our old kitchen. It doesn’t bother at all, the same goes for the dishwasher. The kitchen in our rental apartment is directly connected to the living room, but the dishwasher is so quiet it doesn’t disturb. Washing machine and dryer are very loud. Something might be done about the dryer, but the washing machine is a Siemens IQ800.
In the evenings my wife and I are the last ones in the bathroom; in the mornings we go in together with the children since they are still small.
You’re right about the light. You can put a glass element next to the door.
If I mentally remove the wall it’s big enough. I’m keeping it anyway, because of odors and separation.
Here’s a version 17m x 10.5 + entrance hall. I don’t think it’s bad at all, especially because the family would have a lot of space in the living area. Also, you don’t get run over by the car. The washing machine room could be small if the technology can go upstairs. But there is one problem. No light in the hallway. You might have to work with Velux spots here. Or just open the ceiling in the hallway, as I already suggested once, and then double-wing windows. That would be pretty cool.

How wide is the extension? I ask because the garage is (too) far forward (I mean toward the street). It can’t be more than 5m wide up front if the house is 11.5 or 12 wide.
