I have to admit that I also see the terrace more towards the upper side in the southeast. The plot is trapezoidal but still rather narrow and long. Sitting by the fence is not pleasant, whereas there is still plenty of space towards the back. That was also a reason to put all the living rooms upstairs. You would have to look more closely at the staircase. In Yvonne's design, accessing the upper floor is of course optimally simple. Another reason to consider her floor plan.

You mean like this?

Ooaaah, that is very tight. It really depends on the ceiling heights. With 2.60m and 2.90m floor height, I end up with 18.12 riser height and 25.94 tread depth. (The staircase has no landing – program error)
The wardrobe is then only 1.50m wide and I had to reduce the living room by 20cm.

With the disco system and the fear of washing machine noise, it will probably come down to calcium silicate bricks. Have you already had a general contractor and would they even offer that?

Southwest? Deal with the sun path. There is a website... it's always a difference... but not during terrace season. Many things are over- or undervalued then. You will have light. Unless you want to sit there at night. The terrace is also justified by the kitchen in the evening, since you sit there grilling and eating and drinking. I assume a hedge. I also assume the use of the "front yard". The property goes through a developer!

Oh god. Hopefully, they don't use Ytong.

Did I overlook an answer, or is my question whether an offset shed roof is also permissible still open?
Do you really want a hip roof explicitly, or is it just the fear of the plainness of the gable roof that is the reason for the idea?

At the risk of repeating myself: from a soundproofing point of view, the workmanship—especially the execution of all connection details—is much more important than the sheer mass of the building material.
