Thanks for the sketch. The developer recommended positioning the utility room as close to the street as possible because otherwise the connection costs increase. Since the heat pump will be placed outside by the utility room, I'm also not sure if the solution is that good. I still need to be able to drive through well with the car. Do you know how far they usually stand away from the house?
Due to the angled position, the extra length and the wheelbase also affect the width / track width – not equivalent, but somewhat. And over the distance of entering or exiting, it adds up as if the longer vehicle is effectively wider.
As a counter proposal (relaunch), I like it like this. My alternative ("minimally invasive" in the sense of retaining the same modules, just arranged differently) would be: mirror the unit staircase – entrance – WC (staircase at the bottom of the plan, WC at the top of the plan) # “push up” the bathroom (i.e., next to the kitchen) # as a result, the children come together and the areas are grouped in blocks "living – wet rooms – sleeping" # possibly also mirror parents / utility room # rotate the kitchen 90° counterclockwise, with windows between the worktop and the wall cabinets.
Regarding car length, I agree with you. What do you think if I take a double garage instead of a carport and garage? Then we have more space in total and it shouldn’t be so bad if I park at a slight angle.
That was the spontaneous original idea. Then it has the unpleasant connotation of having the door of the family bathroom quite public if you swap child and bathroom.
Alright, Rubik’s Cube turned again: utility room next to living (now child), bathroom to the left side of the plan (now parents, according to my suggestion utility room).
Although the utility room is well placed in the SSW, it’s too exclusive for the supply lines, technology and as a non-living room.
It’s hard to follow your ideas. A finished sketch is always best for understanding. The living room must under no circumstances be adjacent to a child’s room since, as I said, I have a sound system in the living room. The utility room should preferably be at the front to keep connection costs low.
I will try to make something out of the sketch and the ideas and post it here.
