Why only such a tiny window in the kitchen? What is supposed to be stored in 10 sqm of storage? A wardrobe with 7 sqm is substantial, others here in the forum plan it as an office. How do you get into the garden? I don’t see a floor-level window in the living area.

Bedroom little space between wardrobe and bed. Headboard below the 1 meter line. Bathroom I find a washbasin for 4 people too small.

I am not writing anything about the basement and ground floor, I cannot come to terms with the floor plan.

Are the showers fantasy measurements or do they really exist? It seems to me that all three showers are drawn as custom-made to fit into the wet rooms at all. I just noticed: a bathtub on the ground floor? Well, I would have a professional take a look, the bedroom alone is a mess (wardrobe in front of the window, no space between bed and wardrobe if the bed is placed so it can be accessed). Why is such a short staircase drawn in the attic? If it is supposed to be a fixed staircase, it should be located above the main staircase... then the bedroom would work. The ground floor is a mystery to me. Regards, Yvonne

... unfortunately not with the staircase itself, because its start should be in the 2m area and its exit should reach the attic. This would work:

It certainly wasn't meant to be that detailed, as such an approach would worsen the design.
It's about the principle of placing a staircase (space-saving). However, I question the staircase here anyway, because the basement already has usable and storage space and a fixed staircase is fundamentally not needed here.

I am not making detailed proposals for this thread because I do not consider the design sensible or because the OP withholds information, such as e.g. that he is a hunter or Muslim who wants to slaughter animals in the storage room.
To me, the oversized storage room (and other rooms) is only drawn because it resulted from the staircase positioning; somehow everything just looks "roughly sketched" here.

Hello,

Thank you for the hints. Here are some explanations/questions:

1. Bedroom furnishing: Thanks. Good that you noticed that. We actually need to move the bed a bit further forward. The walls and the wardrobe then need to be moved back by 20-40cm so that we can recreate the current space conditions in the bedroom, with which we are satisfied.
Of course, the window must not overlap with the wardrobe. We have already told the planners this and it will be corrected soon.

2. Windows: You are of course right, there must be at least 2, and especially larger, windows in the kitchen. That is why I already wrote above that we have practically not addressed the windows so far and definitely plan to have more and larger windows overall.
Our construction company builds very traditional houses - as some have already correctly pointed out. That is why we have to plan every window ourselves - and we are very happy about further suggestions here.
In the living room, for example, we want to install one of those large exterior windows where the windowsill serves as a seat.

In the kitchen, for example, there will be a large window facing south towards the garden and additionally one facing east above the countertop. Does anyone have experience with narrow windows between the base cabinet and the wall cabinet in the kitchen?

More and larger windows will also be installed throughout the rest of the house and several double casement windows upstairs. In the bathroom, we are currently considering whether even just 1-2 double casement windows would be sufficient and if the side window should be omitted to minimize visual contact with the neighbors in this area and to create more space, e.g. for the shower.

Access to the terrace is via the lower additional living, guest, play area, which was mistakenly labeled as [Freizeitraum].

3. Bathrooms: The plan is a very first draft from the construction company, we will certainly choose different solutions here. What was important to us for the moment was that everything needed fits in.
The "bathtub" on the ground floor represents an elongated shower and will not be built like that by us. We wanted to check if there would be space for sink, WC, bidet, washing machine, and shower if necessary. Probably neither washing machine nor shower will be installed.
For the showers throughout the house, we want to look around soon at what is available and what dimensions they have, then we will continue planning with the exact measurements instead of these placeholders.

4. Pantry/storage room on the ground floor:
I can reassure you. The only reason for the large pantry/storage room for vacuum cleaner etc. is that this room is the least attractive in the entire house (north and street orientation, adjacent garage prevents windows to the east, with staircase access it would be significantly larger).
We have played through variants with other staircases – but in the upper floor this always requires more valuable space for stairs and hallway (due to the roof slope and practically impossible knee wall) and for that reason we abandoned it.
The current solution is OK because we don't have much storage space in the basement and it makes more sense to keep things like beverage crates, canned goods, vacuum cleaner etc. on the ground floor.

5. Cloakroom: It has become a bit smaller compared to the last draft. We have now planned a corner wardrobe solution here that offers about 4 m of wardrobe space for shoes, jackets, toys, etc. and additionally storage space for the stroller. From our point of view, this is not oversized but exactly what we currently lack.
We also have no possibility for a walk-in closet upstairs, although we prefer the current solution anyway because it is simply practical to have things like shoes, jackets, stroller etc. near the entrance.

6. Staircase to the attic: This is indeed a space problem. As 11ant wrote, it is not quite trivial because of the roof slopes. We would like to have a fixed staircase because the attic might be used as an office, retreat for teenagers, etc. We want to keep these options open and therefore do not want to solve the access only with a folding ladder.

Thanks for your feedback!
